BY-LAW 17: ORDER OF BUSINESS AT MEETINGS:
- The list of items to be brought before a meeting is called the “Agendaâ€. The sequence in which the items of business are arranged is called the “Order of Businessâ€. Executives will find the use of a planned agenda a useful technique.
- The order of business for Annual or General meetings should be as follows:
- Call to order;
- Review of minutes of previous general meeting;
- Confirmation of the minutes;
- Business arising from the previous minutes;
- Reports of Executive Officers;
- Committee reports;
- New business;
- Election of Executive (if required);
- Amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws (if required);
- Announcements;
- Questions; and
- Adjournment.
