MMLL Updates Rules for U11 Age Division

For the 2025 season, Metro Minor Lacrosse has updated the rules of play for the U11 division

Please note:  The U11 division is the entry-level division and is intended to give players an opportunity to learn technical and tactical skills.

1. A differential of more than five goals is not displayed.
2. Contact rules:
   • Place and push check - the defensive player must place the stick on the ball carrier’s arm prior to push checking.
   • Contact on players not carrying the ball is not allowed.
   • Body checking and charging are prohibited.
3. When possession is gained by the goalie, the opposing team must fall back to their defensive zone. If the team does not fall back possession is given to the non off ending team at the center of the floor.
