Be a Role Model to your Athlete, encourage him/her and others on the floor to play hard at all times.
Emphasize fun and skill development at all times to your Athlete
Do your best to understand the Rules of Lacrosse; it will help everyone when the Official makes a call
Enjoy the Experience, Control your emotions and police others in the Arena. If you are uncomfortable with any situation, find a Volunteer to help.
Your Role as a Lacrosse Coach:
One of the Biggest Influences on the Athlete is you
Teach your Athlete the Skills and the Rules needed to play the great game of Lacrosse
Encourage him/her to play hard at all times and to play by the Rules you have taught them
Always do your best to Control your emotions on the bench; your players are watching you
Respect the Officials; they are there to help the pace of the game and to call infractions
Your Role as a Lacrosse Official:
Be a Positive influence on the Athlete
Show Respect to the Coaches, Parents and Athletes
Keep the pace of the game going
Explain Calls to the Coach or the Captain when asked to do so
Enjoy the experience; it is supposed to be fun
Your Role as a Lacrosse Player:
Always listen to your Coach while playing
Show Respect for the Officialsand yourFellow Competitors
Always Play Fair and by the Rules you were taught
Always Play hard and to the best of Your Abilities
Encourage your Teammates at all times, and have Fun
There are four main groups of people involved in our great game of Lacrosse; the Parents, the Coaches, the Officials and the Athletes. How thesegroups interact and treat each other before, during and after the game will greatly influence whether all the participants have had a positive experience. Let’s show each other respect to guarantee that this happens.
